Clay brick veneer is often used for cladding purpose to low-rise residential structures in Australia and New Zealand. In this construction form, the wall system consists of a structural frame, non-structural brick veneer walls and brick ties connecting the veneer and frame. Traditionally, timber has been the most common structural frame used in Australia and New Zealand. However, the use of high-strength cold-formed steel frames in brick veneer construction is steadily increasing in both Australia and New Zealand.
