This NASH House Insulation Guide is intended for designers, builders, Building Consent Authorities (BCAs) and manufactures as a guide to assess the expected thermal performance of various forms of light steel framing construction.
R-Value Graphs for steel framed wall and roof construction are provided in Sections A & B of this Guide. These graphs allow designers, builders and BCAs to readily determine whether specific light steel framed constructions will satisfy New Zealand Building Code provisions.
The data used to create these graphs has been calculated using methods based on NZS 4214 Methods of determining the total thermal resistance of parts of buildings and the findings of report NASH N-10 Thermal breaks and cavity construction.
